Bimboification as Western Mindfulness
The parallel lines of fetish and ideology, or: "Joy as Ideology"
NSFW Warning: I mention, link, and reference naughty sex words in this post. If you’re at work (which most of you are) or under 18 (which I pray none of you are), skip this one. There’s no outright boobies or anything, but let’s just say its not a “shy” essay
First of all I want to apologize to all of you who don’t know what “Bimboification” is before reading this. Then to those of you who think you might know what it is, but really have no idea - I also apologize. If you’re unfamiliar with what it means, I’ll provide a brief overview of it (at least some of the ways it is defined), but if you’re very motivated, you can also educate yourself by perusing r/Bimboification on Reddit. I’m not going to link that subreddit here because it’s NSFW and also because I want to make sure those who choose to enlighten themselves do so willingly, through the application of search-engine praxis (“praXXXis”). It really doesn’t matter either way.
I guess I should also disclaim that it may be possible you are in fact a Bimbo yourself, and if so, I want you to know that you did once know what Bimboification is, but your work to intentionally jettison knowledge from your head was so successful that you forgot what got you here in the first place! To you I say, “ummm should you be reading? Don’t you have some makeup to be applying and some lip filler to…fill?”
I would hazard to guess that, even if you’re unaware of the process (trend? movement? tendency?) of “bimboification,” you probably still know what the word bimbo means. I have known the word almost my whole life, and for some reason it seems to be a gestalt product of the 1980s I grew up in. That was the last decade where I think it was pretty much open season on making fun of “dumb blondes” as a demographic. Everyone liked the jokes, even the dumb blondes. Or at least it seemed like they did, and nobody cared to check, because there was a basic understanding that the second half of the equation of calling someone a bimbo was that - besides being dumb - you were also attractive. So it sort of evened out.
Alas, the word apparently came about way earlier than the 80s, and initially actually referred to men! That’s right fellas, no need to relegate yourself to second-rate himbo status!
From Wikipedia:
Bimbo is slang for a conventionally attractive, sexualized, naive, and unintelligent woman.[1] The term was originally used in the United States as early as 1919 for an unintelligent or brutish man.[2]
As of the early 21st century, the "stereotypical bimbo" appearance became that of an attractive woman. It is often used to describe women who are blonde, have curvaceous figures, heavy makeup, and revealing clothing. It is commonly associated with "the dumb blonde" stereotype.[3]
I left the hyperlinked sources in there if you care to check if that’s true (you big brainiac, you!), but assuming you don’t actually care, the above intro to the wiki entry just about covers it. Bimbos are hot, dumb, ignorant, and opinion-less. Bimboification is the process of - through transformation strategies of both the mental and physical sort - becoming a woman who is hot, dumb, ignorant, and without a care in the world. Oh, and usually highly fuckable.
The last part is an important qualifier, because it seems to be that aspect of the “Bimbo” (speaking here of the idea of “bimbo” as a Platonic Ideal) that has undergone a surge in intensity in recent years, though it is less often admitted in so-called “mainstream” write-ups on the trend. Yet one need only delve a little deeper into the seedier side of the internet to extract the distillate truth of the animalistic drives that underscore anything so haphazardly academic.
Case in point, if you did bravely go over to Reddit to scroll that sub (alright, fine I’ll link it: r/Bimboification), you’ll quickly see that - in many posts - there is some reference to the ideal of, well…for lack of a better term, an ideal of becoming a mindless fucktoy for men:

It is hard to know where the kink ends and the self-reflection begins. It is entirely plausible that posts like the above are written by men placing themselves in the mindset of such a creature as an act of inhabiting the object of their misogynistic desire. In fact, there seems to be a strong pipeline from gender surgery to woman to bimbo, and even the classic “Bimbo Transformation” meme has been given a refresh.
Going from this:

None of this is scientific, just reading cultural tea leaves here. Makes you wonder though if there is some sort of fetish involved in all of this stuff. Couldn’t be, right?
It could indeed be mostly a kink. It could be more of a wish fulfillment for horny men; to want to live in a world where such a woman exists, akin to writing down a fake phone number on a bathroom stall advertising anonymous blowjobs. I imagine many of the people who do that don’t actually want to give a blowjob, they just wish to live in a world in which free blowjobs are freely advertised inside men’s bathrooms (in the stall, no less - a fortress of fart-shitting masculinity). Hard to say…but
